Pair 26

I was trying to make a pair for smallish man’s foot but alas it was a bit small.

I like the side panels. I used Barbara Walker’s slip-cross coin cable as guide for my panel

Panel is 9 sts in total. Two purl stitches on each side of five knit sts.

Rounds 1 and 2: P2, K5, P2.
Round 3: P2, K1 with double wrap, K3, K1 with double wrap, P2
Round 4: P2, sl1 dropping the extra wrap so as to make an elongated stitch, K3, sl1 dropping the extra wrap etc, P2
Round 5: P2, drop the sl st to front of work, transfer the next three knit stitches to RH needle, drop the sl st to front of work, put first sl st on LH needle, return the three knit stitches to LH needle and put the second sl st on LH needle. Knit all five stitches, P2.
Round 6: P2, K5, P2.

These six rounds make up the panel.
