Notes

9/9/11 - Finished! I love these gnomes! I used some more face coloured yarn yarn to make noses. It turned out great. It was a bit tricky placing the eyes. Some of them have funny little faces but I guess that works for funny little dpn eaters…

I broke 2 needle felting needles doing the eyes… I’ll have to pick up some more and some elastic thread to sew on the hats…

4/9/11 - I made six and have the hats just about done. I weighed my yarn after knitting the body to see how much I used and seriously… it was 1 gram… 4.6 yards… such a tiny amount of yarn! I could knit hundreds and hundreds on gnomes out of the yarn I bought!

Later: Felted them today, easy and fun! And I did a blog post with tons of pictures. That was fun too!

3/9/11 - so my yarn is in from knit picks. I ordered all kinds of colours of Palette.

I finally sat down this afternoon to knit a gnome. I made one in Pool - a pretty blue, and the face is Oyster Heather. The hat is Serrano and the beard will be Mist.

I’m knitting the 7 inch size because I have lots of long dpns… And I’m knitting them in the round because why seam?

Addicting things…

I’ll felt them after I knit a half dozen or so…

21/8/11 - I couldn’t help it. I keep looking at my messy collection of dpns and dreaming about making these lads to tidy things up…

I have some yarn that will work in my stash so I’m hoping to use up as much of that as possible.

Ok, off to knit up some gnomes!

8/2/11 - my dpns are a mess! I need to work on these thru out this year.
