17/7/11 - why I ever thought I’d be able to do that bind off in 20 minutes, I’ll never know. Seriously that took me 8 hours to do the sewn bind off on 750 stitches. Next time I would go up a few needle sizes and bind off like the pattern says. Holy smokes!

So it’s not blocked yet and frankly, I’m not blocking it today because I’m a bit sick of it! It does look really pretty though!

16/7/11 - so I finished the lace part with the tiny bit of TFA that I had left over from the Make up your Mind Tank I made earlier this year.

I bought some Noro in cream and beige to finish the last 2 rows (knit and purl rows) and the bind off. I’m using EZ’s sewn bind off.

I’ll be blocking today and hopefully it will dry in all this humid yucky weather so I can get some FO pictures tomorrow.

11/7/11 - I’m about 5 maybe 6 rows till casting off and guess what?…

I’m going to run out of yarn. Yes I really am…

So now I’m debating whether to finish in a different colour or bind off early…

Dang…

10/7/11 - I took this to the folk festival in Montmartre and worked on it until I couldn’t see anymore. I’m finished the body, I’ve closed the gaps and I’m row 3 of the chart edging. Can’t wait to finish and block this!

Later: Bah! I need a big glass of wine! I messed up one section of lace 3 rows back. That’s 1500 stitches to tink back! Agh!

6/7/11 - started this last night after downloading the pattern. I got Rak’d by Mary Rose and even though I have a plan of what projects to tackle this summer, somehow I just couldn’t resist this one!

I cast on with the extra skein of TFA deep sea and I love this yarn! I have to say casting on 300 sts is a long haul!
