Step 1: At 5’ 0”, a 9” peplum is not going to look good. Instead I’m going to make mine 7”. Each segment was made as instructed but I only knit 17 rows (calls for 25) before doing first decrease row. After joining row, I knit 4 rows (calls for 6). After decrease row 2, I knit 3 rows & only 3 rows after decrease row 4. Puts me right at 7”! On to the waistband.

Step 2: Dont slip the first stitches of each row when knitting the waistband! You’ll have to restitch - ask me how I know. :/ Knit back to only 6.5”, then started armhole decreases. Knit to 8.25” then started shoulder bind off.

Step 3: Starting short rows for bust after knitting 6 straight rows above increases from waistline.

Step 4: Have completed one sleeve and moved on to the other. No alterations made. Am blocking each piece. Looks fabulous so far!

Sleeves are flared.

I have it on my dress form, pinned and it’s GORGEOUS! Will need to pick up some ribbon for the snaps tomorrow and hopefully, I’ll get to wear it to church Wednesday night. I’m in love!
