3/20: I finally started last night. Took me a bit to figure out the tubular cast-on but I have to say that I Love it. It looks so professional. I’m 4” into the back. This is going to take a while to knit…
4/7: Two-at-a-time sleeves. Interesting experience. I’m enjoying this cable pattern!
5/5: Sleeves are finished and blocked. Starting on the front. Still in love with the pattern!
5/24: Had to take a break for a couple of weeks. Graduation for two kids during that time & life was a little too hectic!
6/18: Finally! The front is completed. Currently blocking - so ready to have this finished.
7/3: Sweater is pieced together & I’ve completed ribbing for neckline. Have done the 4 rows for the tubular bind-off, just need to separate the stitches onto separate needles & Kitchener stitch together. Then a final blocking.
8/5: Everyday I get a little closer to finishing. I separated the bind-off stitches today. Now I just need to find a few hours of time that I won’t be interrupted by a certain 6 yo!
8/20: It’s finished! I ended up doing the Kitchener bind-off twice. Not sure how I messed up so badly the first time but it looked bad enough that I ripped it out and resewed it. Came home from school and tried it on. I’m in LOVE! I think that I would have preferred for the back to be a little closer-fitting but I’m too in love with the front cables to care about the back too much.
8/23: Wore this to church this morning. Love!
Family photo: What? Doesn’t everyone take selfies while grocery shopping?!?!?
