3 key items:

1. Used 355 size 6 beads out of a 41g tube (contained 367 beads) to add some “bling” for Ma.
2. Added each bead on the purl row beginning with the first one.
3. I-cord bind off was used to make a more substantial finish and to prevent rolling.

February 19th:
Only have 12 more rows until I am done with the short rows. Would have finished sooner, but we are fostering a bunny with a cancerous tumor the size of my fist. B’Elanna Bun seems to hate her. :(

February 21st:
Short rows finished and life line inserted because I am deciding on whether to keep knitting until I use up the 16g left or hope an i-cord bind off will do the trick of using up the yarn.

February 22nd:
Beginning with purl row, did 8 rows of stockinette stitch. Left 6 grams for 3-stitch i-cord bind-off. After binding off, there was 2 grams to spare. Now to block this baby…

July 29th:
This shawl is now taking a long bath in SOAK. As soon as I find time either tonight or tomorrow, it will FINALLY be blocked! Maybe I’ll have a WIP finished for Ravellenics after all… If not, at least it will be dry in time for Detention in September 2012.

August 20th:
I could not wait any longer. While my husband was working on car repairs, I stayed inside and blocked this puppy! So glad I did. Will be presenting it to Ma this Sunday.
