Notes

What a great project--very easy to knit and such a beautiful result. I really like how the raglan shaping is done. I will probably wear this all the time!

I actually started this sweater in the smaller size, but when I realized my stitch gauge was off, I unraveled it and restarted it in size 39”. Still, because of the gauge, it is a much more fitted sweater--closer to 37” after blocking. I wonder if this was due to the nylon in the Ranco, because I’m not usually a very tight knitter. Thankfully, it’s a very elastic fabric and has a great drape to it, too.

Though I love Araucania’s wools, this was not my first choice of yarn for this lovely sweater. I used it because I had so many skeins of it in my stash and just wanted to cast on this project right away. I can’t complain about the result--it’s very soft after a wash and blocking.

The second picture is truest to color. Each skein varied quite a bit from the other and you can totally pick out which sections of the sweater were knit with different skeins. (There are worse things than having a giant “S” scrawled on the bottom of my sweater, right?) >_<

If I make another, I am using Loft. (I just had to stop myself from buying some right now.)
