I didn’t follow the pattern really, but would not have been able to crochet this without the pattern for guidance.

I think I will want to make a couple more for friend’s children. See my construction notes below :D

Construction Notes

Yarn held double.

Rounds 1-6: with 3.5mm hook, followed the pattern for “Crown Circle”
Rounds 7-10: dc all stitches. (70 sts)
Round 8: changed to 4.0mm hook. increased evenly around. (77 sts)
Round 9-11: worked 5-dc shells all around.
Round 12-13: worked 6-dc shells all around.
Round 14: worked 7-dc shells all around.
Round 15: with 4.5 mm hook, worked as described for Round 23 of pattern.
