I have NO IDEA why this took a backseat for so long, as it was an easy knit, with enough cabling to make it interesting.

Granted, there was a LOT of knitting (they don’t call it the ‘Blanket’ coat for nothing).

Not too happy with the way the sleeves fit the shoulders, ie, it kind of has to be slightly ‘off-shoulder’ to look right. Plus, the back rises up significantly, even after a good old blocking. (maybe I just have an odd shape and the cardi if perfect!) Probably more of a slobbing around the house cardi, rather than a ‘look-what-I-made-wear-out-in-public’ kind of cardi!

Still, I set myself the task of finishing it (it was cast on in 2007….oh the SHAME) as it was my longest WIP ever! The reward is that I can now cast on another sweater project for myself (knits for the kids don’t count!)
