Feb. 27 - These are the best pair of socks I’ve ever had, and I made them myself! I love Susan’s patterns. She can do no wrong. The pattern is simple and elegant, and the instructions are crystal clear. I followed the pattern exactly - lucky for me, Susan and I have the exact same size feet so I didn’t need to change a single thing.

These socks are a really fast knit. They didn’t actually take me two weeks to make. It was a really busy time in our lives and I was glad to have a fun pair of socks to whip up.

Feb. 15 - made it to the heel flap on the first sock. I love how this yarn is knitting up.

Feb. 13 - I knit a swatch and figured out that I needed to use size 2s to get gauge. However, halfway through the sock I could tell that it was way too baggy. Measuring again, I realized that my gauge is different when I’m knitting in the round vs. knitting back and forth. Frogged and cast on again with size 1s, which meet gauge.
