I wanted wider straps so I added one additional round of single crochet between rounds 29 and 30.

I don’t really know much about the yarn. It was a one pound bag of mill ends that I purchased from one of the chain craft stores (JoAnn’s or A.C. Moore or Michael’s). It is a bulky weight 2 ply acrylic yarn (about 6 or 7 wpi). I considered separating the plies to double the yardage at what would be a light worsted weight yarn, but when I found this pattern that called for bulky weight yarn it seemed like the yarn found its calling.

ETA 05/27/18: I figured out exactly what the Fashion Plus Mill Ends yarn was. It’s Premier Yarns Deborah Norville Collection Serenity Chunky Prints in color DN675-03 Crayon Box. With this new information I can now say that the yardage estimate that I gave is actually pretty accurate.
