I adapted this glove pattern to a fingerless mitt/wristwarmer. I worked the pattern as written up to the beginning of the fingers, then worked 6 rounds of 1x1 rib. For the partial thumb I worked 2 rounds of stockinette after the last decrease round and then 4 rounds of 1x1 rib. I also reversed the direction of the cables on one glove to make them mirror images of each other.
