Notes

28/07 - Cast on

30/07 - Finished with the collar

01/08 - Ok, so I think my gauge is somewhat off, and that the S will turn out too large for me. So I’m making the yoke increases to fit an XS instead.
Actually, even the XS would be too large. So I only increased to 220 sts (between markers), knit till 19 cm yoke length and divided the body and sleeves according to this: 32 (right front) + 44 (sleeve) + 68 (back) + 44 (sleeve) + 32 (left front)
Added slight waist shaping (2 sts decreased and increased on each side)

12/08 - Finished while watching the Olympics closing ceremony.
Didn’t make the decreases on the sleeves as written, instead made the following on the last 2 rows:
R1: k2tog every 5 sts
R2: k2tog every 8 sts

26/08 - Finally had the time to get some decent photos.
The madtosh grew a bit lengthwise with blocking, but it suits this pattern just fine.

I’m in love with this yarn, the color is exquisite and it’s so, so soft and a dream to knit with. It bleeds somewhat when washed but it didn’t seem to affect the color.

Not sure if it’s a fault of the pattern, the yarn or my loose knitting, but the yoke feels too loose and stretchy when wearing it, like it’s going to fall down any minute. To remedy this, I had to secure it with some extra bit of yarn at the top and bottom of the yoke so it wouldn’t stretch.
