Notes

love. love. love. this bright herald of new life! while this spring leaves pattern is simple, during this past month as i learned of having melanoma and the subsequent treatment, it became quite a challenge. my friends suggest simpler knitting. i clung to this bright, bold pattern… some days un-knitting more than i knit. but, i held to the hope of its color of new life… and now, i have hope of that again. this one will always hold a special place in my heart… my melanoma madness stole. ;) never let it be said that knitting does not have healing properties!

i used ALL of the two skeins… had to take out the LAST two rows on the second side to have enough to have a stretchy bind-off… somehow, the imperfections of this one make me smile… we are not quite perfect, but we are bright and alive!
