Cast on 180 sts on US 7 for the 41” size
Mods: did 2 pairs of decreases for waistshaping (instead of 3) and made button bands wider (6 garter ridges v. 4) to accomodate the 1” square buttons I selected

Day 2: 24 rows done, 2 small mistakes but not ripping back to fix them…part of my “done is better than perfect” mantra for 2012.
Day 6: 38 rows done, am doing the waist shaping. The garter stitch edge is curling up where stockinette begins, I hope it blocks flat or it’ll have to come out…I love how the leaves are coming out.
Day 12: 72 rows done = 5.5 leaf pattern repeats, started right sleeve… trying to get both sleeves done in the next week so they can be knit into the yoke before Madrona
Day 25: sleeves done, attached and now on row 6 of yoke. Terrible curling of cast on edge….really hope it blocks out.
Day 30: almost done! Button bands, weaving and blocking are all that need to be done! Tried it on and can tell that I will love wearing this.
Day 40: A little past the one month mark, but all that has to be done is weaving, blocking and sewing 4 buttons!

I love it - a little roomy in the upper shoulders, but I am very pleased with the results.
