my final completed project for 2014 - cabled lace…ooo lala ~it’s a beaut!

project notes ::

• did knitted cast on as suggested instead of longtail
• casting on 360 stitches takes an eternity…especially when you finally cast on that last loop and realize you have 460 :)
• did border chart as follows: Row 1-12 x3 and then Row 1-8 x1 (I did not do the 4th cable for 2 reasons : I liked how the lace looked when stopping with row 8 and it meant I didn’t have to dip into my second skein of Cima!)
• followed rest of pattern as written
• I blocked the neckline straight and pinned soft points on the lace section (pulled pins out before completely dry so the points relaxed) ~ I liked how this looked better than a straight edge on the lace section

preblocking : edge width 6.25” / width at center 8.5” / length 45.5”

blocked : edge width 8.5” / width at center 14.5” / length 67.5”

relaxed : edge width 8” / width at center 10.5” / length 63”
