Notes

~ a madelinetosh sweater!! finally :)

I love my husband ~ he never fails to make me laugh :)

I’m between the 1st and 2nd size so making 2nd size with recommended needle size ~ my gauge is always slightly smaller than listed so I’m hoping to end up with something closer to a 34” chest

project hints:

  • I did wind my 2 hanks separately and then wound them together so there’s just one big cake to work from

  • I did the lifted loop increases as noted (a first for me)vs. my usual lifted bar increases and they look sooo much nicer!

  • blocking first really helped with the seaming ~ and that’s one perk to making a seamed garment v. a top down/bottom up…the seams are perfect places to hide all those ends!!

  • had a little trouble getting a really neat neckline join ~ the lace weight on large needles made it really hard to get it as perfect as I’d have liked but it looks pretty good

  • did a regular bind-off on one size larger needle (US9) since the edge curls in and you don’t even see it

  • starting weight of doubled skein of tosh lace was about 210g

  • sweater weight is 180.5g (28.5g leftover)
