Notes

joining Liesl in her monthly sock challenge
these are my November pair

check this out ~ I made Fiber Gallery’s facebook gallery…sweeeeeet :)

for starters, I should mention that Deneise of caBinFOur designs (hehe…sorry Deneise, now I can’t stop!) is just about the sweetest soul…we’ve been chatting just a bit since I started this set and she’s a kick!

making longer / winter house socks

project notes ::

  • I am making these longer and I still finished one sock of the pair in a 24 hour period and I promise I did not sit and knit for hours on end ~ what a breeze!!

  • I did a 2” cuff / pattern X6 … not quite to my knee but pretty long! / I always pickup and knit all stitches of gusset thru back loop to tighten / first sock used 61.5g / definitely enough left from first skein to make knee socks when I make my next pair!

  • the pair took 124.5g total ~ I had enough left over to make these cabinfour free mitts!

  • these knit up so fast (including the time it took to make mitts with the leftover yarn!) ~ I went right out and bought yarn for 2 more pairs of socks and matching mitts!

  • I would love to have a pair of these for every day of the week ~ they’re perfect in my slippers at night!
