gearing up for more doctors visits ~ socks are the best

joining liesl in her monthly sock challenge ~ this is my September pair

project notes ::

• loved this yarn ~ vibrant color that didn’t bleed one bit when soaked, just enough variegation but not too much so that the pattern doesn’t pop…it does!!

• no cabling, just twisted stitches so no extra cable needle to fiddle with…ahhhh :)

• I knit exactly as written ~ would have liked them a bit longer but the stitch pattern is pretty tight with all the twisted stitches so don’t think it would have fit my chubby calf if I had added length

• the pattern is really well written ~ I had no problems with it at all (everyone knows Rose creates beautiful shawls but I’ll give her a shout out on socks as well…these are amazing!!)

• I usually ktbl when I pickup stitches for the gusset to tighten things up but these socks were knitting up pretty tight anyway so I didn’t bother and that section still looks really nice and not loosey goosey

• on the foot : I wanted to make sure I stopped at a good place in the pattern before knitting the toe so I did Row 1-20 x2 and then Row 1-7 before switching to plain knit rounds prior to decreasing

• sock 1 = 37.5g // sock 2 = 36.5g

• total weight of pair = 74.0g (about 319 yds)
