yarn ~ anniversary gift from my husband

last week when Bonnie first posted a hint of what this pattern was to become , I saw sunflowers in the lace…and then this yarn came…with autumn just around the corner it’s like the pattern and the fiber and the season were beckoning each other…

project notes :

  • (please chime in if you read this and you have an opinion…I would love some input!!) still not 100% sure on my yarn choice with the variegation and this pattern ~ after one repeat I think I can see the pattern clearly enough (I’m planning on blocking it HARD to really open up the lace) but I think I’ll reserve judegement until I get a few more chart cycles completed Call Me Crazy :: 3+ chart repeats done…I know the pattern would pop more with a solid yarn but lord help me, I’m enamored with this yarn / pattern combo even though the design is subtle to the eye…I continue on…haha

  • I’m so surprised how easily this is knitting up with there being lace on both the right and wrong sides compounded by the fact that the chart symbols mean different things on each side of your work ~ this is flying off my needles and is really intuitive if you know how to read your lace ~ I am loving this
