Notes

I normally love the Noro yarns I’ve used, and I like this Sekku now, but I started out distinctly disliking it! It’s a lace weight cotton-wool-etc blend, with jarring color changes. It feels webby and sticks to itself. It was too much for me to overcome in a lace wt for awhile (and lace wt already requires commitment).

The only reason I tried it for Tunisian makeup remover reusables is that it’s a cotton-wool-nylon blend, like the sock wt blend that I love for the makeup removers I’ve been using. I figured I could double-strand the Sekku to become sock wt.

I can’t imagine a better stitch for this yarn! Crocheting with the two ends of the skein together heathers the awkward color jumps, making Tunisian stitches really intriguing to look at. It blocks beautifully. I like it so much that instead of makeup remover pads, I’m making double-stranded, double-layer Tunisian Tss coasters on the diagonal.
