My blocking tutorial is on Craftzine.com!

Not a difficult pattern, but I recommend counting your stitches frequently; I found I dropped stitches on the drop stitch row regularly, & the sooner I caught them the easier to fix.

I also recommend against blunt-tipped needles, which have been a big PITA on this project.

4/7/10: Finally blocked it! My 1st experience w/ blocking, I used kids floor mats + string. Blocked measurements = 21” x 90” - Blogged a tutorial.

3/6/10: In order to use all the yarn, I added sections as follows: yo round, drop-stitch round, 2 yo rounds, BO. Meausures 83” unblocked.

3/5/10: Took it w/ me to Midnite Madness & reached the last row of the pattern; want to knit ‘til I run out of yarn though.

3/4/10: Just about done; only the last panel to do.

3/3/10: Plugging away. Measures 58”. Also realized that the 88” total is probably blocked, so I’m almost there. Only 2 repeats left before border.

3/2/10: Listened to final episode (#39) of Turn of the Screw on CraftLit & got it to 44”. Halfway!

3/1/10: Ravelympics are over, so working on it again. Listened to Episode 160 of CraftLit podcast (Ch. 1-3 of Persuasion). Measures 37”

2/11/10 Measures 33”.

2/10/10 Took it to PnH. Still having dropped-stitch issues; is it my needles (round/blunt-tipped) or my lack of lace skillz? Dunno, but it is annoying. Measures 26”.

2/09/10 Measures 19”.

2/5/10 Took it to Midnight Madness at Handmade Memories. Measures 12”.

2/2/10 Currently measures about 8”, but I dropped a stitch & I’m having trouble picking it up.

1/27/10 Cast on to 20 Million Miles to Earth.

Needed a project to work on in the dark while attending Sci Fi Pint & Pizza Nights at the Arcata Theatre Lounge, so found a pattern that uses #9s ‘cuz I want to use my KnitLites.
