I used a chunkier yarn than the pattern called for, but kept to the size 8 needles, to size the vest up a bit. Also added 30 rows to the length, when it looked like the armholes were going to be too tight (I’m a rather tight knitter). It fits great, although I did make the collar a bit wider than I should have. Oh, well, she loves it, and looks super sweet in it. JCasa’s pattern is very easy to follow, too.
