Knitting the band for this hat was my least favorite thing to knit that I have come across to date. It was awful and painful and really frustrating. All of those twisted stitches in the k1p1 pattern. Ick.

That being said, the rest of the hat was lovely and even fun. It was a nice easy knit that came together SUPER fast, and I love the finished project.

I blocked the hat on a large dinner plate to make the top of it more saggy (it originally stood up a bit). But even though it was acrylic, just getting it warm and tugging on it really helped.

I will absolutely be making this in the future, although I’ll have to come up with a different band option.
