17 dec: done! now to decide what to do with it.

8 dec: started working on the second sleeve last night. One thing I am going to also have to do is perform a little surgery -- I neglected to add one buttonhole. I should be able to snip and sew and add it after the fact, but it might be a little hairy there for a bit!

7 dec: neckline’s done, the collar totally fixed it. woo. onto the second sleeve.

1 dec 2011: I think I fixed the neckline! it was just way too wide. I picked up st for the collar and worked some decreases around it to pull it in and have it lie flat. I just need to keep knitting the collar until it’s a bit longer and then see how it looks. After that I’ll go back to the missing sleeve.

My sister Kara thinks that she would like this sweater. I think it might fit her. I should just finish the second sleeve, wash, put buttons on, and send it to her! :)

I have to think about this one. I don’t want to frog it but then again I don’t want to have a sweater that doesn’t fit either. BAH!

2 nov: I finished a sleeve yesterday and like it … but! then I tried on the sweater again and it is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY too big. not sure yet whether I can fix it in some way or perhaps finish it for someone else.

24 oct: man these dpns are making me mad too. The yarn is SO slippery. I think I might have to order some wooden dpns.

20 sep: E lent me some us8 dpns, so I can finish up these sleeves! I also need to figure out what I want to do with the collar -- right now it is a little wide for my narrow shoulders.

7 sep: I need some US8 dpns (can’t find any here!) to finish the sleeves, magic loop is giving me fits.

7 aug: hem done, body bound off. picked up st for one of the sleeves. picked up buttons at joanns in crossroads -- 50% off this weekend!

5 aug: hem started last night. going to try to pick up buttons this weekend and start the sleeves.

3 aug 2010: picked this up last night to try to fix the lace errors. I think I’ve fixed them now. If I can finish up the body then I can move onto the sleeves. Sort of tempted to go with a 3/4 sleeve but I think that’s my laziness talking!

15 mar 2010: still working on the body of this, but making progress. Not sure how long I want to make it.

Unlike the pattern states, I continued the lace below the waist ribbing because I like the look -- at least in this weight pattern, which is of course different from the pattern. :) It just wouldn’t be me if I didn’t modify it, ya know.

3 mar 2010: dude I want to finish this for spring. Going to try to finish the silky wool sweater and this one. Then maybe I can start something new.

25 sep: it’s at high-hip right now I think. working on it again. I am sort of dreading the sleeves. :)

7 jul: still not sure how long I want this. mid-hip is typically bad because that’s the widest part. not sure I want it real long though.

15 may: finished the waist ribbing, just started the lace up again. Also working the hip increases. It’s at high hip right now. I’m not sure how long I’m going to make it yet. Maybe mid-hip. It is a bit WIDE at the neck -- I think I may need to do something about a collar.

6 may: i’m about 4” under the armpits…

5 may: back to this!

19 jan: I’m under the armpits! slow going though.

27 dec: I’m doing a lot of math and a lot of winging this. borrowed a US8 addi from Edapita and the yarn is from her too!

CO 106 st, 8 st on either side for the button band in garter stitch. my gauge is closer to 4spi than the 2.67spi specified in the pattern, hence the much larger CO.
