I’m guessing at start date. Making an afghan out of this motif for my elder sister. I did 12 of each color for a total of 24 squares, arranged like so:

Though I worked on and off for two years, when I got serious about it, it went very fast. I also really liked working with this yarn; due to the high twist of cotton yarns, there’s minimal splitting.

As of 11/24/2012, all that’s left is to block a square or two, stitch it together, and crochet the edging.

Finally finished in December of 2014! Will be gifted this year. I did a simple shell border.
