Guessing on yarn usage, as I don’t have a scale.

This pattern is written for sport yarn, and I had aran. It’s also written to be done flat, with Swiss darning. It did say you could do it stranded, which is what I chose to do. I didn’t want to figure out how to do stranding on a purl side (that sounded difficult to me) so i converted the pattern to being in the round. Since I was using bigger yarn, I had to cast on less stitches to get the proper size. I cast on 52, as each pattern repeat is 13 stitches wide. I started on 3 DPNs as I feel a triangle is a bit more stable than a square when working early rounds, then switched to 4 DPNs when I got to the stranding. I had some problem with puckering, because I’m still new to stranding, but it wasn’t too bad, and the cozy fits, which is the important thing. Also, the pattern started and ended on smaller needles, but I used the same size throughout. I should have ended with the smaller needles, at least, because the top edge is flaring. Oh well.
