Using the fifth size and size 3 needles. Will be making a pullover rather than a cardigan. Cast on and crocheted as written, then joined in the round. The crochet part will have a button band and two buttons in the back.

I’m loving the yarn combination. Need to remember not to wash in hot water. The knit swatch lost some of the purple color and ended up more denimy than purplish.

I added a crochet edging on the bottom instead of ribbing. I had to pick up fewer stitches to keep the edging from flairing out on both the sleeves and the bottom. It took several tries to get the two gauges to match and not create flaring and rolling.
