Started using the stripe sequence from Fresh, but the two contrast colors were too close. So I put a 2 row main color between them. I think I’ll also make the CC in the small stripes have 3 rows rather than two. It will give me some extra ends during the knit flat, but I like 3 and 2 because they are Fibonacci numbers. Four would be easier in flat knitting, but 4 isn’t a Fibonacci number. 2, 3, 5, 8 are all Fibonacci and used in the stripe sequence.

Put on the collar last night. I left the sleeves and the hem on waste yarn so I could try it on with the collar done and make some decisions. So I need about 3.5” of sleeve length for long sleeves and I’m ready to do the hem of the sweater, right now. The length is perfect for the addition of the ribbing in front and some short rows in the back.

Decided to use a garter rib on the bottom so the ribbing doesn’t pull in. I also didn’t switch to smaller needles for the hem ribbing. I really didn’t want the ribbing to pull in and this worked. I started as per pattern, but ripped out and made the modification.

Now to weave in a billion ends!
