My gauge for the body ended up being way off, so I got a fitted garment rather than a nice roomy one.

Added 3 lace repeats for extra length.

Picked up 94 stitches for the sleeve and worked directions for size 10.

Blocked the body quite firmly to try relax the fit across the chest as much as possible.

Gauge before blocking: 28 sts x 32 rows
Gauge after blocking: 24 sts x 29 rows

Love it after blocking!! Really opened up the gauge and I now have a much better and looser fit, more as intended on the original garment!

So what I’ve learnt is: remember, even if I get gauge at the start, or before I start - check again later in the project!!!!
