Based on Nan’s shawl, although the original actually might some sort of extended stitches or hairpin lace/broomstick crochet technique possibly? Although neither of those seem to quite match what’s happening in this shawl.

I’m recreating the same motif with crochet stitches I know though and joining them for a pretty window dressing.
