Notes

Got the yarn in the Alpacafest-Sale and originally planned to knit a stockinette cardigan - but it begged me on knees to make something with cables…

It is a while since I last knit cables, and I normally used a cable needle. When I realized that I hat to cross stitches 16 times every other row, I decided this is the ideal project to learn to cable without needle - something I wanted to try for AGES.

So I checked this (German) tutorial based on Grumperias - and is sooo much fun! Love, love, love the yarn! Can’t stop making cables!

I am really proud, 2011 is a very successful knitting year: Started knitting socks with magic loop, learned fair isle AND cabling without needle - YEAH!

Finished! Quite love it, though there is a LOOOOT of yarn in that hat. It is a touch on the wide side (I made the larger size), although I have quite a big head. Love this caple, but I think using it 8 times on this hat is a little too much, it eats to much yarn that way.
