June 18th Finished - at 11 p.m., so way AFTER the German soccer team lost the match against Serbia sighs Well, I do not see it as a bad sign, though. Quite like the outcome, especially the pooling section where the archs are. And it really fits well, though it is more a 39 as a size 40 and more a tight fit than what I would have espected with 65 stitches. Still they are a little “wavy” as the are a little too big vor me - see first photo. Did as described in the pattern, for a second try, I might add some structural knits and purls to emphasize the unusual construction. I LOVE this Zitron colourway, I think I will have to knit it again.

Okay, I need a project for the Team Germany Soccer Challenge 2010. I want to do socks, but do not have leftovers to do another leftover sock, so I will try this one - unusual construction, but still a plain stockinette sock - what I prefer. Plus, the start is a plain stockinette leg, which means mindless knitting… I will use the German translation, called Bogensocken » As it is the first time I will knit this unusual construction, I think it is a good challenge for Ravelympics (and when I finished, I have some more leftovers with pink in them, yeah!
