Sneaked around this pattern for a while and decided to treat myself to this as a birthday gift.

The designer is a genius in finding and inventing stitch patterns that I never found in any stitch dictionary and this was really fun so far!

I am looking forward to trying the new-to-me way to do the short rows and a new heel.

Did the cuff while listening to the audiobook of Tintenherz » (which I can highly recommend).

There are blue-skinned fairies mentioned there, hence the name.

Turned the heel of the first sock and added a third colour which was No. 21 in my advent calendar today - as my cardigan is finished, I will use the rest in different projects.

Finished first sock - I messed up the toe a bit and I am not sure that I like the purl stitches, but nevertheless I will do the second toe to match.

Casted on for the second sock - this time, I did the colour change correctly, but instead messed up the bobble row - well….

Finished! Tried them on and the heel fits quite well! They are on the wider side - 60 stitches with 2.5 mm needles are a little wide for my taste.

Will do the heel again, but I probably will stick to my normal toe instead of the star toe as given in this pattern.
