Notes

July 22nd Finished today! I already was done with all the crocheting on July 11th and put in the sleeves and sewed in ends today. I am quite content with the sleeves , was a little afraid of it, but I do not particulary like the “slits” on the sides where my “waist shaping” became hip slits - still thinking about a solution - so far just crab stitched around in a non contrast yarn to not emphasize the slits more. But maybe lacing them together would help? Will try. Did the sleeve edging as in the book, but would probably leave out the second row next time to make it matching to the collar. If I did this again, I would definitely onlly make it app. 55 cm long.

July 10th Ok, that went fast- finished the front today and sewed together - not totally content, as what was intended to be the waist shaping is now where my hips start to widen again, but I will just leave slits and use crab stich around them (not sure wether a contrast color or not. I am a little scared for the sleeves, hope I will be able to produce something that I can fit ok - will have to do the math now. Really like the waistband in that lemongreen! Used exactly 1 ball of the green and 4 balls of the blue so far for the “tank part” without sleeves and edgings.

July 3d Well, okay, change of plan again - this will not -yet- be the Motif thingy, but the Cupcake Tee. I like the Motif Bolero, but gauge was totally of and I already bought the yarn. with the current temperatures, I want something airy - and this seems to run quickly, I only started yesterday and already nearly finished the back. I am a little afraid of the sewing part - but I hope I can handle it somehow…

May 28th Swatched a square of the Motif Bolero - beautiful, but way too big - app. 22 cm long, so I will either have to find a different use for the Catania or stick with the normal pattern - hm - might also go for a crocheted sweater - Cupcake, maybe? But then again I do not have enough of that yarn.

May 20th Hmmm…. I just browsed my queue and start thinking that Jessica Tromp’s Motif Bolero might be an even better choice as the squares look nicer?

May 15th: Okay, slight change of plan- decided to use the Lana Grossa leftovers to make a matching cowl for my sockyarn Jewel and maybe also mitts, so I HAD to buy an alternative. I decided to go for a bright turquoise cotton yarn - hope my 300 g will last for me.

May 14th
Started this during the Schwarzwaldstrick as I still have about 350 g of the yarn after my Jewel is finshed - only had a 5 mm hook with me, quite like the loose gauge on this one - we ‘ll see…
