Love the woven look of granité stitch and wanted this in a solid colour. Would have prefered something less bold, more tweedy, but I do look like “Käsemilch und Spucke” in neutral colours, which is why I opted for the christmas tree green… Might try the yellow Rödel also has later. Did not get 5.5 mm hook, so used the 6 mm and it is just perfect. Fabric is quite thick, so definitely would NOT recommend to go down further if you want a cowl with some drape. Finished the first ball of yarn in just one evening. I love the eyelet row, I am already thinking of maybe throwing in another one or two at the other edge, maybe just before ending the third ball.
Finished! Added another row of dc, ch1 to finish it off. Have a little of the third ball left. Not sure if I will wear it in the open, loopy way or just wrapped twice around my neck… Looked looser in Twichy’s pattern photo, maybe I should have made it a little longer. However, I HATE crocheting long rounds and starting with millions (Okay, more than 100) chains, so I might try a version which is knitted like a “normal” scarf. Still like the granité, though it is a little tedious to do on the long run (I had some problems finding the right spot to stitch into in articifial light)
By the way: The project name refers to a bank commercial which used that slogan in the 1980ies (or so)
