About 10 years ago, I made my first Daybreak over Christmas » (well, it is 11 years, to be exact…) and I thought it might be nice to repeat this pleasant experience this Christmas…

I am a little early to the party, I know, but I could not resist the wonderful glittery yarn which I saw in my LYS yesterday…

Found it to fiddly to to the M1L and M1R at the very beginning of the row, so switched to backloop increases which I knit through the backloop in the next row to avoid holes…

Will probably not have enough yarn for the size I am aiming for, as the yarn is only 400 m per ball, but I have a similair colourway of the greyish-pink yarn which I could use… Or I will just use plain black yarn, we will see.

Started striped section

Did a little more than half of the striping part.
Contrast is not very clear in some parts, but I quite like that…

Started border in colour B

Finished! Ran out of the green yarn in the last right side row before binding off, so just used the red yarn to finish. Have about 10 g of the red-grey yarn left.

Used a 4 mm crochet hook for a single crochet bind off.

Pinned it to my drying rack to “block” it - the yarn got a lot smoother when washed.

Really like this, the last looooong rows were definitely worth it!
