Notes

Decided I needed some mindless knitting with just one ball attached to it for our hiking holiday in Zillertal as the cotton yarn of my Chance of Showers is too slippery for transport.

So I dove into my stash and found this precious Hundertwasser Blue Moon yarn which I have been saving for ages and some matching solid sockyarn.

I currently plan to do the yoke in the Hundertwasser and maybe repeat it around the waist or at the arms - we will see how far I get.

Did some short rows to raise up the neck and also started in rows to make sure I do not twist the cast on - yes, that worked out.

August 23, 2020

Started plain teal Part of the Body.

Casted on 14 stitches under each arm and will work them in garter stitch in the sides

Still so increases after every 3d garter ridge

August 29, 2020

Did the Seconds Hundertwasser stripe up to 38 cm after cast on

Will knit the rest of the body with the plain teal yarn

Weighed what is left for the sleeves
Blauer Mond 20 g
Meilenweit 30g
Red 7

September 6, 2020

Finshed body at 54 cm
Hem rolls quite heavyly, but will hopefully block out.
15 g of teal yarn left.

Picked up 82 stitches with Landlust grey yarn
3 garter rudges = 1.5 g, i,e, app 30 garter ridges in that yarn

Finished knitting, washed and let dry. I quite like it! The neckline is a bit wider than I would normally like, so I would probably start with less than the recommended stitch count of 120 stitches for my size next time.

I did some short rows in the back to raise the neck but I think that I would have needed more to see a visible effect.

The sleeves are a bit on the tighter side - I should probably not have decreased so quickly. But they will probably stretch out a bit over time, so that is ok.

Sleeve length is just over the elbbow as I was afraid I would run out of yarn (but still have a bit left, so that is fine.

The slight A-line increases on the body worked out fine, I really like the comfortable width. And I like the length as well, it might have grown a centimetre or two in the washing, so I am at app. 55-56 cm now.
