Notes

Still totally obsessed with making striped sweaters from sockyarn scraps, so this will be my next one, even if it might be too warm to wear it when I am finished…

Separated sleeves

April 25, 2020

After body measures 22 cm from armhole, I switched to the solid dark grey yarn and started making the pockets. Want the whole thing to be not much longer than 60 cm in total.

April 27, 2020

Finished seperated front and back for pockets and joined into the round again.

April 29, 2020

Finished body, bound off with a 4 mm crochet hook in single crochet. Quite ruffly at the moment, but I am confident this will flatten when washed.

Picked up 54 stitches for the pocket linings using the pink Trekking with which I started - not sure I will have enough for two pockets left, but if not, I will just finish with the dark grey yarn.

April 30, 2020

Finished both pocket linings yesterday, had enough yarn and even have about 5 g left.

Picked up 81 stitches for the first sleeve in plain white sockyarn, plan to decrease every 10 rows or so up to 60 stitches.

May 2, 2020

Finished them first sleeve after 12 decreases and some ribbing

May 3, 2020

Finished knitting today, now “just” to weave in ends.

May 4, 2020

Sewn in the ends and put into the washing machine- just after that I got a little concerned that the dark grey might bleed… well, we will see.

Left the ends at the pockets as they were, I might use them to attach the lining to the main body a bit if it otherwise might show beneath.

Luckily, no bleeding whatsoever, will now let it dry flat and see if pocket lining attachment is necessary.

May 5, 2020

Used the tails of the pocket lining to attach them to the body, but they did not show in spite of that - but I was afraid that might change when worn and I had to sew in the ends anyway.

Really like how it turned out!
