Knitted a belated swatch of the red yarn and washed it to find out if it will bleed- it did not, not at all, in fact - very good!

November 6, 2021

Finished first sleeve, did 7 rows of k1, p1 for the end. Now up to the second sleeve - we will see if I will be able to finish this by the end of the weekend.

Okay, took in wear photos today. I had quite a heavy allergic reaction (watering, swollen eyes) after washing this. Especially the grey yarn had a funny, bitter taste/smell to it which is why I kept washing my hands when knitting. I did not experience that with the red yarn, though.

However, when I washed it, I got that allergic reaction. I do not sense the “funny smell” any longer now that it is washed, but I will start wearing this only carefully and in the house so I can change quickly if there will still be an allergic reaction. Anybody else had the same experience?
