Casted on 80 stitches. Did a strange version of a crochet cast on and I think I will only knit half of the shoulder width in one direction, then in the other, not going to the knit in the round immediately after knitting full shoulder width.

Knitted 41 cm straight and closed in the round for the first sleeve. Will do the same for the other side, placing the provisional cast on in the middle of the back as I think my version will not be totally invisible.

Finished 1st 50 g ball app. 19 cm after joining for the sleeves.

Finished first sleeve, picked up cast on to knit second half, i.e. 40 cm in rows and then sleeve.

November 1, 2019

Finished the sleeves, picked up for lace pattern.
I used app. 2.5 balls of yarns for the sleeves and I am about to finish the third ball at the end of the first lace pattern repeat.

Nearly finished 4th ball of yarn after app. 18 cm of lace pattern. I am alternating between “Hi, this lace is fun and easy to read” and “Gosh, I made a mistake AGAIN - I do not want to knit back, so I trust that it will not show too much… “ ;-)

I have 20 cm done of the lace part and still I am messing up every second pattern repeat though the lace is really not complicated and the pattern should be easy to read … Well, I think it will not show too much when worn, so that shoujld be ok. Not the best project to take with me for knit night, though…

Finished knitting! I needed about half of the 6th ball of yarn which is not a lot considering that I made it about 35 cm long before I started the plain knitting and cuff. Did stretchy bind off for bottom and did 4 rows in total of k1, p1. Did the Icord cast off as given in the pattern.

Yarn bleed a bit when washing and the ribbing curls upwards - I used a steam iron and hope it will help! Really love the yarn, the colour is nearly exactly as the Drops Lima I used for my christmas cardigan here » I had the impression it was lighter when I first got it, but it is really matchy-matchy.

Wear it for the first time today and just love it! Length is just right, though I made it about 5 cm longer than the pattern says. Tried both ways, lace as a shawl collar and also l“normal”, I think I like both but maybe will wear normal more as it is a bit short in the back the other way round.

Really love the colour and I will definitely make more - a summer version, maybe, and maybe another winter version? We will see!
