When adding stitches in Section 3, I used the cable cast-on because I like that it produces more stable, even stitches for me than backward loop. I took the designer’s advice and used a single double-pointed needle instead of trying to wrangle both ends of the circular I had been using.

While working the Picot Point Edge, I managed to mix up two rows or make some other error, resulting in two picots over one double yarn over hole. It’s close to the center of the shawl, but it’s only noticeable if you know to look for it, and even then it barely registers as a mistake. It definitely would have been trickier to tink back half the edging than to just accept it and move on, so if it happens to you? Don’t worry about it.
