This is Lauren’s sock yarn in the ‘Cheesehead’ colorway. This is yarn dyed in the team colors of the Green Bay Packers.

April 2018
I have been working on these a little here, and a little there. I am ready to either 1. decrease for the toes or 2. start the afterthought heel. I think I want to do the heel first so I can try them on and see how long they are before beginning the toe. I’ll read about how some of my sock heroes handle things when they reach this point. I did not think I would be wearing these socks until the 2018 football season started, but with 30-40 degree weather and snow in April, I might get one wear out of them this spring!

I set these up for the after-thought heel. I am regretting it. I wish I just stayed with my favorite formula. I think what I will end up doing is…I don’t know. I mean, I have the entire foot knit, so frogging it to the waste yarn seems like, well, a waste. Not sure, but I am not used to having socks on the needles for 10 months.

Welp, I frogged these socks. I will start over with my go-to method. I tried.

January 2020
Rewound the wool and started over. Very pleased with the outcome.
