I followed the increases to 216, then knit plain for maybe 2” before starting the color work. My goal was to use up the white & burnt orange (GMS) yarn. White ended first, so I threw in the yellow for the second band, and knit until orange was gone. <3

Using that lil chart I found in a Google image search since I was away from all my books at the time! I dig it. I inverted the chart for the lower band of color, just ‘cause I could.
