I didn’t even realize I was simultaneously knitting on two happy stripe sweaters until my three year grandson pointed it out to me. He is thrilled to be twinning with his grandmother! I cannot wait to wear these out and about next fall. He’ll be four then, but I think I have until he’s 5, maybe 6 before he thinks twinning with Grammy is not cool. Right now he loves it! I had a Kaffe Fassett kit gifted to me from my LYS when she was doing an attic clean out. The pattern it came with was a dated 70s cardigan so I threw that out. Being that the yarn also had a 70s color vibe, I knew it would be perfect for Andrea’s striped sweater. I made the sweater longer and slimmer than the pattern style. The yarn is very soft and I was super happy with it. The yarn had no ball bands and a quick search just shows that the yarn is 100% wool. I’m curious to know what it is and wondering if anyone knows the breed? It’s next-to-the-skin soft but I don’t think it’s Merino, maybe Blue Faced Leicester? Would love to know.

He is tall for his age, and I’m short for my age , that’s why he comes up to my chest!
