I lost one of these mittens in Costco during the winter of 2021. It was heartbreaking. I made another using the leftover from my original Forever Mittens. I reversed the colors because I wasn’t sure there was enough dark gray yarn. There would have been. Also, I think the right and left thumbs are reversed in the pattern directions. I put the “afterthought” stitches for the thumb in the place the pattern specified, but realized I would have had a left mitten, when I needed a right. So I fudged a little when knitting the top of the mittens (fingertips) decreases, so the thumb would be in the right place. It all looks a little wonky (and bigger than the one that’s been worn a few times) but I think they’ll settle in with wear.
