Notes

This a perfect beginner project that can be done in an afternoon: Weave three hexagons, sew them together according to the photos, add a simple crocheted chain as the neck string, sew on a pretty button. Done!

Variations:

  • Use different colors … the Berroco Suede comes in a variety of colors that makes it really hard to choose.
  • Add fringes at the bottom, or a tassel! The Suede yarn works perfectly for that.
  • Use different yarns. Any worsted yarn will be fine, you will need less than 15 yards per color.

FRINGES!!!!

I really wanted to try the Suede yarn for fringes, so I made another amulet pouch necklace. I chose an “ocean” theme (since I had a fish button).

This amulet pouch necklace is made of Berroco Suede, 3763 Tombstone, and Yarn Bee Ashley, 03 Pale Aqua.

Verdict: OF COURSE the Suede yarn is PERFECT for fringes!
