Notes

…. further to my other project “Country Kitchen Towels” ….

I decided to use the balance of the warp (after 7 towels were woven) to do a nice long table runner and do a short fringe so to get the maximum length and use the loom waste as my end fringe. (Final fringe length is 2” )

Of the colours in my stash, only the white looked good against this cream beige warp. The weaving went well and and it wet finished beautifully. The shine of the bamboo really came out with the steam iron.

It reminds me of hardanger embroidery! There is a nice weight to bamboo and so the runner lays quite flat on the table.

Runner size is: 19 1/2” by 62”

June 22/ 22: edited to say that this runner was gifted to cousins who got married a year ago. They recently bought a new home in Sandhurst, Surrey, England and went to the effort to send me a picture of the runner on their new table. I was thrilled smiley
