Notes

I bought a painted warp from Carr Park Artisans (on Etsy) and added solid tencel borders of amethyst, appleblossom and gold bamboo. The pink really bleached out against the richer purples but it still worked ( and I had no alternatives on hand)

I wove the first scarf with the 12 shaft draft #55858 from Hand weaving.net ( have used it before ).

On the second scarf I decided to try a treadling variation and switch out the gold bamboo for the olive green tencel. This meant adding the yarn in hanging film canisters iff the back of the loom. So it got messy back there with 2 floating selvedges, 8 for the greens plus another one for a pink when I accidentally snipped a thread when cutting the gold off. flushed Unwinding the yarns took some time back there and I wish I had snapped a picture of the dangling bits!

The green worked nicely and the second scarf is my favourite of the two. It was worth the extra effort!

So… hurry up Spring! grin
