Interpretations Vol. 7 is here! This 7th volume of the truly heartfelt collaboration between Joji Locatelli and Veera Välimäki includes six themes, six words with two designs inspired by each word, showing a personal take on each of these themes.

The year 2020 added a layer of different circumstances to the book. The photographs were taken on the same day, but on opposite corners of the world; Joji’s in Argentina by Charly Barros and Veera’s in Finland by Jonna Jolkin.

This design is in honor of our friend Aimée. Always so chic, always so stylish, always finding the right colors.
This is a simple (or not so simple, as you’ll discover) cardigan. Many could easily miss it among so many other designs. But the blocks of color, the combination of five spectacular colors, make it stand out. Make it so beautiful… extraordinary. Don’t you already feel the urge to find in your stash five colors for this cardigan?

This is our friend Aimée’s talent. We designers can do a fabulous job tailoring a design to perfection. But our work is always, always tied to yarns that we use. When we find the perfect yarn it’s the beginning of a beautiful romance.
This cardigan has abundant ease, with perfectly tailored shoulders and set-in sleeves. It is worked seamlessly from the top down. The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round. The button-bands are worked once the cardigan is finished, to give the finished piece a professional look.
